A friend took the photo, then I hand-set each character of the presstype and added reductions of already-inked logos (that I had also designed) on illustration board, shot that down, and pasted that image and hand-set the wee copy on a tissue overlay on top of the photo.

That is how we did it in those days.

 


 

 

Here is the original pasteup provided to the printer (I believe it was Hollis). You can see the presstype applied directly to the tissue overlay.
I still have the frame, bought for a dollar at a yard sale, ditto the gloves and the velvet collar.
