Silver lettering enamel

This copy was drawn directly on the wall with a #2 pencil, off a tight scale drawing that I carried in my hand. My penciled line being so light as to be almost invisible, it was rather an act of faith to even lay it out as I could never back away from my layout and still see my layout. The angle of the italic is quite steep and it was difficult not to drift, and kerning (spacing) of this copper-plate script is a critical issue.

The silver paint reveals itself as the reader walks along it, a rather spooky effect. The lower-case letters are about an inch and a half tall.
I must have lettered at least 25 walls in this church, but my on-site days are over.
