I did a lot of chalkboards, here and in San Francisco, in the nineties. These Deco markers used to be oil-based and flowed nicely, with some limitations, and came in quite a variety of colors. Now they are acrylic and they suck so don’t bother.

Layout was done with a white grease pencil, using a very light touch.
